Valencia Airport is situated 9km west of the city of Valencia and has connections to about 15 European countries. The airport has had one terminal and two runways; however construction to be completed for the 2007 Americas Cup will see a new regional terminal, expanded parking facilities and the runway lengthened by 700m.
